I am a firm believer that each one of us should have our own creative outlet. When we create something out of our hands, it channels our energies into something beautiful. No need to fret if we feel like our poem doesn’t rhyme well, if we can only draw stick men, and can only hold private concerts in the shower.


Many studies have concluded that art helps in healing. It helps us find meaning in our lives, and keep ourselves balanced.


When we encourage creativity, we encourage people to be their most authentic selves. We find healthier ways to channel our energy. I know many people who find themselves creating better works of art when they churn out emotions they have been repressing.


You see, art is much more beautiful when it comes from the heart.


If you want to create something for venting purposes, try buying those mini blank notebooks. Feel free to fill it up with the things you want to express. Doodle. Throw in some text — just words that come to mind. Don’t pressure yourself to make it pretty, and you can leave it incomplete. Who knows? Your future self might be able to draw some inspiration from it!


To help us embrace positive emotions more, let us remember to tap into our inner artists. Art can be our form of mellowing when we feel like the world is going too fast. Art is also the best way to banish mental and emotional blocks. It keeps us stimulated as we keep seeking our purpose.


Let’s get creative, and splash bright and lovely colours in our lives!



It can be challenging to pursue wellness on our own. It's alright. Some people learn best when we work in squads. It's a fantastic method to connect, and to get to know ourself more by interacting with others. Aside from our instructor's guidance, exchanging thoughts and ideas is a great way to explore new ways to care for ourself.


Social Wellness enables us to stay connected to the people important to us. We get to nourish ourselves as well as the people. It allows us to open our hearts to others with patience and without judgment.


What are the key ways to strengthen our social wellness? Here are some things we can do:


1. ) Help in forming habits


It can be challenging to pursue wellness on our own. We may inspire, assist, instruct, and motivate others as we embark on our own paths to peak performance. As we do this, the more we are accountable in pursuing our new found habits as well.


2. ) Go beyond, and build deep connections


Some bonds are deemed superficial or simply exist on the surface. However, if we want to reach out to someone, let us make the effort to welcome them, and strengthen our ties with them — genuinely. This is easy when we both have the same interest to start.


3. ) Give time for self-care


We must not forget ourselves amid all the love we give to others; We cannot pour something out of an empty cup. That is why it is important to take a pause every now and then. Make sure we create our own space where we can reboot, refuel or recharge.


Social bonds are what enabled our civilizations to thrive and grow. After all, no man is an island. We are all connected, one way or another.

Mindfulness helps us to put our heart and spirit into a space of being intentional when making choices to attain peak performance. We allow ourselves to be in the present moment, look at the past without judgement, and foresee our future without fear or worries. We bring ourselves into full awareness of what truly makes us happy, and to move us forward to an abundant life.


So how can we practice mindfulness in our everyday lives?


Mindfulness for our body


It is important to connect with our body — every part of it. Our bodies are our vessels to do great things. That is why we must treasure our health well. Take time to scan and move your body everyday — from head to toe. Stretch, bend, rotate, contract, raise, lower; just move each part of your body while bringing your full attention to the energy in motion. Allow yourself to observe, and appreciate each muscle and bone moving at your command.


Mindfulness for our hearts


Find time to have a meaningful conversation with a loved one each day. It doesn't have to be long. What's important is that you give your full attention to that special someone. Be fully present. Find joy in that simple encounter.


Mindfulness for our minds


Nothing beats a powerful morning ritual. Simply focus on your breath before getting out of bed. This will help us avoid mental chaos, stay focused, and be in control of our thoughts for the rest of the day. When times get tough, let's find a healthy way to turn away from toxic thoughts, such as expressing ourselves through art, or simply go for a mindful walk.


Mindfulness can be our guide towards an optimum level of living. It will help us forge our path towards our purpose. Every journey is a series of fork roads, but it’s up to us which one shall we take.
